The success of the first Aegean Yacht Rally, its positive repercussions among the yachting community and on the media, and the intensive demand from the yachtsmen for another organization have been an encouraging starting point for the continuation of the Aegean Yacht Rally. A new and a different route were planned for the second rally in order to enhance the attractiveness of the organization. It was furthermore decided at that point that the Aegean Yacht Rally to become a traditional event and to set sail to a different course on the Aegean Sea at every second year. Finally, on the first day of July 2003, the yachts set sail from Setur Ayvalık Marina for starting the second International Aegan Yacht Rally. After visiting the Eski Foça and Çeşme ports, the rally fleet arrived in Setur Kuşadası Marina. Following the opening party and the concert in the ancient Ephesus city, the rally fleet set sail again from Kuşadası towards the Greek Island Samos. Later, two more islands Leros and Kos visited and the fleet returned back to Setur Kuşadası Marina on 18th of July. The yachts were welcomed with a great enthusiasm at every island visited. Parties, entertainments and concerts were organized by the residents of the island to the honour of the rally participants.
At the end, the second International Aegean Yacht Rally, built on the foundations of the positive results of the first organization, was concluded with a big success indeed.
