Setur Marinas participated in ICOMIA WMC 2025, one of the most prestigious global conferences in the marina and maritime sector, sharing its innovative work in the areas of sustainability and digitalization.

Setur Marinas successfully presented its sustainability and digitalization projects on the international stage by participating in the ICOMIA World Marinas Conference (WMC 2025), one of the most prestigious platforms in the global marina sector.

Setur Marinas' environmentally conscious and innovative approach was highly appreciated at this important conference, held in Venice under the theme “Innovation, Collaboration, Transformation,” which brought together more than 500 marina operators, investors, and industry professionals.

At the session titled “Renewable Energy in Marinas,” Gonca Melek Özkan, Environmental Manager at Setur Marinas, gave a detailed presentation. The presentation covered energy efficiency practices, solar panel investments implemented as part of the “Selfie” project, carbon footprint verification processes, digitalization steps, and smart marina solutions.

IWMC 2025 also provided Setur Marinas with an opportunity to establish international partnerships and strengthen relationships with existing partners. During the event, direct contact was made with numerous international operators, investors, and technology providers.

Investing in the net-zero target

Setur Marinas, as a permanent member of ICOMIA (International Council of Marine Industry Associations), which has represented the maritime sector globally since 2024, is working to create a sustainable and responsibly growing maritime industry.

Setur Marinas continues its environmentally conscious investments without slowing down, in line with the net zero greenhouse gas target by 2050. Prioritizing green technologies, it acts with a mission to reduce its carbon footprint and protect the marine ecosystem, demonstrating this determination with concrete steps. Setur Marinas generates a total of 5 MW of solar energy capacity across its marinas. In addition to holding ISO Environmental Management Systems and Blue Flag certifications, it uses 100% renewable electricity through its I-REC certification.
